New disciplinary system - RG/MPS

Hello volute, it’s becoming more of an important issue to me personally, not sure if anyone else has noticed it but the amount of rogue RG has increased significantly and it’s consistent charges of AWOL, criminal trespass and a lot of cases where they just run down the mall because they feel like it.

It seems as though simply detaining them for 10 minutes isn’t doing much anymore, I’d like to propose the idea of a new system where essentially CO’s can issue fines to rogue RG who simply can’t behave. The idea of hitting them where it hurts, detaining them is useless as majority of them go afk until it’s over anyways. Either a fining system, as they can get fined irl, or a system where we can restrict certain members from earning money at sentry posts for a specific amount of time.

Or even, a system where we can subtract points from their rank. I’m not sure what any MPS CO’s think about this idea, but i’d love to hear it below.

Also, this would be implemented to RMP too as that’s essentially their role.

If the first idea gets denied, i’d like to propose a system where we can issue them written warnings, slips where each day the number issued out will be counted and once it gets to a certain number, they’ll be suspended from duties from an hour automatically. Or, let’s say once they get issued 15 in total, they’ll get a demotion to the rank below. Something on the lines of this would work.

Please let me know how you all feel regarding this suggestion, again I’d love to hear it.

Have yourselves a lovely day.

Yeah, the written warning slip system seems more reasonable as it’s not a moderation issue, but rather a disciplinary action from RG as is detaining them.

I would much just prefer the old system returning as it was way more effective and actually made it so less abusers were active at once as pretty sure they all know by now that all they will get is a simple detainment for a short time then they will get released which obviously is not much of a deterrent where as the sanction system actually was more effective and I personally saw people actually act better after being sanctioned.

People who only joins the game to misbehave doesn’t care about money or ranks. The only way to stop them is to suspend them.

I strongly agree with this suggestion. As a Chief Officer in the MPS, I’ve been in the role for around five months, and one of the things I’ve had to deal with the most is rogue MPS constables. It gets frustrating because people often say their actions don’t affect gameplay just because nothing is officially recorded, but that’s not really true. Even if it isn’t documented, it still causes issues during roleplay, creates unnecessary work for COs, and lowers the overall quality of the experience. I’ve seen similar situations happen with the Royal Guards and even the LAS as well. I honestly think this suggestion would help improve roleplay standards and make it much easier to deal with these situations fairly.

Wonderful suggestion mate. I suggested fines but it got denied, and LiveShield love consuming everything related to sanctioning. So unfortunately despite this amazing prospect of what BP could be, it won’t happen for a good amount of time unfortunately.

I think this would be more a LS type system as it’s very similar to sanctioning which was in-fact taken away from COs a while back due to some random reasons(?). So with that I doubt this would go through.

However, perhaps the verbal warning system might be nice as it would help with chat restrictions too.

As has been stated on multiple occasions, the leads are not looking at bringing back sanctioning powers to COs.

Please see the ‘Posting Suggestions’ frequently suggested item response.

We have no plans to give COs the ability to issue fines to their team members or to give them the ability to take points from people.
