I didn’t know that I recently saw it, that when you try to report someone for a handbook breakage, the liveshields or COs do nothing about it. Genuinely whats the point of having handbook and rules if they are not followed and everyone are doing whatever they want? I suggest LS or COs Maybe Commander+ to be able to sanctionate MPS for example if its their first infraction to be a reminder then warning, second warning, third warning suspension and etc…
Pros: 1. Everyone will follow the handbook, as right now new constables and in general people don’t really follow it and are doing whatever they want, which makes the handbook useless.
- Gives Commanders+ the ability to punish, as commanders are experienced officers rather then the deputy commanders.
- Gets more realistic, as irl if a constable breaks any rule, they get punished, rather then telling that they do not punish constables for rules in their handbook.
Cons: 1. Will be a little hard, administrative and development to implent this as there needs to be again a handbook with infractions, the punishment to it and stuff (if its removed). But I think it makes the rules way more effective rather then now as the new constables get used to not following the handbook which results in a mass breagake and really the handbook becomes useless and worthless.
What I wonder the most on here, is why does RMP enforce the handbook rules for RG’s, however Commisioned Officers on MPS do not do it, quite interesting
This has been suggested many times. Handbooks are not rules, they are guides on how to play a team “correctly”. LiveShield only enforces game rules which can be found here https://devforum.roblox.com/t/rules/2785165. COs can enforce their handbooks with the tools they are given in game, violations for breaking handbook guides will not result in any sanctioning by LiveShield as we do not sanction for roleplay offences.
You cant trust all commanders in my opinion
@viki0452566
quite frankly, spoken to moderation plenty on this subject, aswell as to the Developers.
The answer is always the same, they will not sanction for RP because it hurts the games player count.
Even though, there are plenty of teams for them to choose from, the argument doesn’t really stand.
If they really want to play on a team, they wouldn’t start doing things they know are illegal, in turn, they deserve to be sanctioned.
Sanctioning powers are not being reinstated to CO’s of any type as they were ‘Abused’ to sanction for RP related things, which was the correct system to utilise.
LS and Development sometimes use the argument that ‘It’s a CO and RMP job to handle them not Liveshield’ which, unfortunately, our power only go’s so far, we can revoke a Qual, which doesn’t really provide them with much anyways, and we can detain them for a very short time, none of this really discourages anything. As such, we actually could use help to handle them, but Liveshield does not class RP as Moderationable action, alongside having the ‘Handbooks as guides’ even tho CO’s can issue sanctions for not following them, so they are rules.
Overall, i completely agree with you, but it’s never happening, been suggested and denied far too many times
