Guns To Response Police

I think a simple pistol for response police would be pretty cool!

In the UK, only Authorised Firearms Officers are permitted to carry firearms. We’re not like America where all officers are issued with sidearms. I won’t be voting for this for that reason.

This is unrealistic, and it is also would make the game into even more of a team deathmatch.

Also, it’d just make the gameplay way worse. Having a gun is quite common, but you’d lose the majority of the “upper hand” as a civilian if every police officer had a gun by default.

The value of guns would also be out of balance. One side gets them for free, the other has to pay.

That would cause so so so much more abuse

Pretty much agreeing with the top responses here, a Response Police Officer is never seen with a gun in this game or even in real life as they are meant to be seen as peace officers with non lethal stuff such as tasers, batons etc so giving them a gun just doesn’t keep that sense of peace, plus if anyone was to get given guns I would rather it be one of the unarmed divisons in MPS instead of a regular response if we really had to choose

I would agree with you if, and only if, it weren’t so easy for civilians to obtain weapons. In fact, regular police officers without weapons are doomed to be bully by civilians with £750 AK-12…

As I said, our police forces here are not like America. I know what you are saying, but to keep the realism, Response Police should not carry firearms whatsoever.

The only Response officer in the UK allowed to be armed are PSNI or Specialist Firearms Teams.

“to keep the realism” lmao very realistic too see 12 ferrari with armed civ inside tbh i am alright with realism but not when thats ruin the gameplay for a lot of players

To keep the realism of the police force.

Yes, well, that’s only when it suits you… its didnt make sense and also thats ruin the gameplay and the game balance for police without gun you cant do anything only dying Wow, what gameplay! It really makes you want to invest in it.

But ofc you have the option to paid 400 robux to get a gun :grinning: The only 2 solutions its to nerf civ like a REAL nerf or give a gun to regular police officer

When I say this, it’s not because I want an argument, rather, I need clarification: When you say “when it suits you”, please may you elaborate what exactly, just so I can understand fully?

I admit that I am lucky in the sense I have the funds to buy permanent weapons and I do realise that not everyone can do that, I am totally aware, and I know for response officers especially, dealing with people who have submachine guns and rifles is near impossible, and pistols, well, they have somewhat of a chance. My point from all of this is that I sympathise with the unarmed officers, however, should they be dealing with armed incidents in the first place? I don’t think so.

@zaperxr who is part of MO19 will tell you that response officers with sidearms is something me and him disagree with, and we actually responded to a post to do with MO8 wanting sidearms as well, and in the end, the suggestion was closed due to it being “Unplanned.”

“however, should they be dealing with armed incidents in the first place?” The fact is they are targeted by civs with guns everytime… imagine you are a new player and you are killed everytime well you can’t do nothing… and i have perm guns too but tbh its very cheated and unfair for unarmed officers.

When I say “when it suits you”, I simply mean that you demand realism only when it pleases you, regardless of how it affects other players.

I totally agree that realism can make the game more immersive but it has to be applied consistently. Right now, it’s ‘realistic’ only when it benefits one side. Civs having assault rifles and supercars everywhere isn’t realistic either, and it ruins the balance for players who just want to enjoy the police role without constantly getting killed or being ran over ofc.

If they want guns then they should buy a gamepass or join MO19, response police shouldn’t have guns as it will litterly ruin the game, as @Bruce_RBX said we have already talked about MO8 getting guns and it’s heavily unrealistic. If you need help as an response police then call armed police and do not respond to firearm incidents.

What you call ‘realism’ mainly serves to justify imbalance and encourage the purchase of gamepasses. It is neither consistent realism nor good game design. “if you want guns, just buy a gamepass or join MO19” isn’t a real solution. Not everyone has the money, the time, or even the desire to spend two or more weeks applying and going through academies just to be able to defend themselves in a Roblox game.

“If you need help as an response police then call armed police and do not respond to firearm incidents.” So basically, your advice means we shouldn’t play at all as response police? Because let’s be honest almost every call involves armed suspects, since it’s extremely easy for civilians to get weapons. The issue isn’t that response police want to be overpowered, it’s that the current system makes them useless in most situations.

This will never happen, because it just doesn’t work. And to all the people that responded further up, I don’t think realism is really a thing to worry about anymore as it is no longer a realistic game.
