Guns To Response Police

Then don’t play the game, at the end of the day devs gotha be able to make money.

That’s exactly the problem if the only way to make the gameplay balanced or enjoyable is by paying, then it stops being a fair or good designed game

Of course developers need to make money, but there are better ways to do that than locking basic gameplay balance behind paywalls. Players shouldn’t have to “just not play” because the system is unfair they should be able to enjoy the game without paying to dont be bullied by cheated civs.

Obviously, it’s easier to say “don’t play” than to actually think about the real issues and try to fix them.

Firstly, I genuinely don’t think that unarmed officers, excluding MO7 and MO8, are targeted, rather, they are in the line of fire, just someone for a civilian to shoot at because they can - it is indiscriminate, and I completely agree it’s not great. If you are saying response officers are specifically targeted, please give a few examples, if that makes sense.

Secondly, I’m sorry you think that I “demand realism” only when it suits me. That is not the case, and I’m sure there have been times when you yourself heard someone say something is unrealistic, but you think it’s realistic.

First off, you are completely right, everything you said, and I personally agree with you on this statement you’ve just made - there should be solutions, rather than telling people to not play the game. :slightly_smiling_face:

Secondly, as you may or may not know, I was briefly part of Volute Quality Assurance. When I started, I had a vision: that we always find solutions to problems, and never say no to the players’ ideas, and we show compassion to everyone, and read every bug report possible, something which I believed was not happening before I joined. It would have been my intention, if I had stayed, to make all of those changes, even if it was just me who took a different approach.
So what I’m trying to say is that I am with you on this, and I have gone through the injustices you are campaigning against on here.
You’d be very good at motivational speaking and standing up to injustices

Will try stop rambling on now sorry :joy:

Firstly, I’m not disputing that unarmed officers are realistic I understand that My point has never been that realism is wrong

What I’m saying is that the current setup makes the game almost unplayable for regular police because civilians are not realistic at all they can easily get powerful weapons and cars, which creates a massive imbalance.
Realistic unarmed officers are fine in theory, but if civilian are just cheated, it ruins the gameplay so like i said previously they have 2 solutions: give a gun to police officer or nerf civils thats all.

Thanks, I really appreciate that and I completely respect your perspective. My main goal here is just to highlight the gameplay imbalance caused by overpowered civilians vs unarmed police.

Honestly, I’m just tired of arguing, so I’ll let people read the discussion and form their own opinions…

Okay I understand you now. I agree it is not enjoyable for unarmed officers, and everything you say I agree with and makes sense, I’m still unsure about the idea of unarmed officers having sidearms, so I would ask, if you are suggesting as one of your options, civilians would be nerfed, what would that look like, what effects other than the obvious would it have ie what impact to civilians would that have?

I’m happy to continue to discuss this with you as I’m not arguing, but if you’d prefer not to I get it and I’ll stop :slightly_smiling_face:

Devs will probably never give response officers guns and if they do it will probably just be handguns. Handguns are not great and a lot of regular response officers will use it to respond to a lot of hostage situations, not to mention that civs will target them more if they get guns.

We do not intend on making firearms immediately accessible to response police.

Thanks for making a suggestion.
