Give MO19 Armour Piercing Ammunition

If it is too difficult to roll back then I would suggest introducing a more powerful ammunition type to MO19. To counter bulletproof vehicles, introduce armoured piercing rounds to MO19 Only to balance the playing field. This ammunition type will be able to pass through the vehicle and into a civilian.

To keep the upgrade fair, do not introduce this ammo for armed police or PaDP so those have bought the bulletproof vehicle can still have some fun.

Or maybe just stop crying about it

This is a good suggestion as it would add balance to the game and remove frustration.

I agree with this, it’s a smart way to keep the armoured cars for the civilians while also giving MPS some balance

I love the tearss

This suggestion allows you lot to keep your bulletproof ferraris and what not. It just gives a portion of trained people access to stuff that can counter this.

Armour-piercing bullets are expensive and they are non-realistic (they would not just fit in the magazine) and MO19 does not carry a high-calibre gun that can pierce through armor.

Shame that they are a thing in real life making them realistic

Civilians having bulletproof vehicles that go over 200mph isn’t really realistic either :man_shrugging:

It’s only unrealistic in the sense that police don’t get armour piercing rounds due to the collateral damage it can cause. But given the circumstances how MPS is just a massive counter terrorism unit (due to the game’s focus on violent crime, we ain’t seeing any smuggling from OCGs either) I can see it happening.

Let’s keep toxicity off the forums please. Everyone is allowed to make suggestions.

Let’s avoid toxicity please. You don’t have to agree with every suggestion that’s posted but that doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful.

Realism is a crazy way to argue in favour of civilian armoured cars.

Personally, I’m going to have to be neutral with this.
MPS has bulletproof cars, now civs do.
If MPS gets armour piercing, civilians should be given it too.

Now, I do not want to start any fights or get blasted with replies about realism and whatnot. Simply, this update brought a bit of balance. And, let’s be honest here. It’s more likely for an organised crime group to have armour piercing than the police.

Now, say that you do give them AP. Should GGs and snipers not also be given the same perk aswell?

Armoured cars can exist anywhere, whether it is a civilian or police one. For police one you can not pay, for civilian you should buy the car and the bulletproof upgrade.

Engine upgrades exist, and it is realistic

5.56mm NATO Standard bullets can not pierce through this type of armour that BP uses. 7.62mm can not also. 12.4mm is the minimum calibre you need to pierce through.

No they can not. Civilians in the UK can not purchase ballistic armour plating and fit it to their cars.

How you can realistically measure the ballistic protection provided by “armour” based on zero information other than “armour”, I do not know.

Balance wise, civilians now have access to faster cars, better weapons and have no form of RoE. This update is objectively unbalanced in favour of civilians no matter how you look at it.

I don’t know why people are under the impression that ballistic armour plating capable of stopping 5.56 is available for purchase by the public, or by OCGs, but that is flat out not the case.
