Now that Grenadier Guards have Combats, a Rappel System, their own Landrover and Medkits and RMP have Medkits and a variety of cars. I think it’s about time we address the elephant in the room.
There hasn’t been a single update to Life Guards since their release, and quite frankly it’s insulting to them to the point where even now I feel sorry for them. It’s about time Devs push the other two company’s aside and focus on LG at least for one update.
A lot of people say “well what do Life Guards even need?!” What they don’t need is being neglected. I can think of three things in which can update Life Guards dramatically.
Horse Spawner Update
Currently you have to keep spawning the horse until you get the colour you desire, a simple update would to be convert this like the car spawner and be able to choose the colours.
Horse Update
Let’s be honest, the horse controls suck - end of. A simple update to the horses for better controls and maybe even a ‘leading the horse with reins’ system would be great.
Instruments
They’re our most ceremonial, why wouldn’t they have instruments? Drums, trumpets, etc, you name it. It would be great for their ceremonial events too such as Trooping the Colour, etc.
All I ask is the Devs to consider a company which has had little to no attention since it’s release.
As a Life guard I 100% agree with this, The life guards are a specialist Division and we should be treated as such, not being pushed to the corner and ignored and starved of updates, I hope this spreads some light to us since now even our own HQ feels bad for us.
As a Grenadier Guard, we are all very happy to our new update, and are very grateful, however, I agree that LG needs to be shown some love and attention!!! I honestly can’t recall the last update they’ve received, and it’d be nice to see such an underappreciated division finally receive the updates that they deserve. And from what I’ve observed, and from this suggestion itself, they don’t ask for too much. So PLEASE, give them a well deserved update.
Well said, Sir PWX. Not only that, as a LG myself, we need better horse controls, better equipment, better horse handling and simply, good updates benefiting LG and making it fun. I think this not only applies to LG but HG as well. Also, a word to the devs, I hope us LG would get a more appealing feature in addition to horse updates to make people be more enthusiastic and more inclined to join LG.

Trust me when I say, we know the feeling. These updates suggested, aren’t crazy like some of the other suggestions, and make sense for LG
As a member of GG and RMP, I think this is definitely needed. LG are a great division but always get forgotten!! Even the suggestions Lucifer made, there are a lot of great ideas posted there in which should be considered.
I completely agree with the updates mentioned, LG need to be looked after just the same as other serious divisions, the changes will encourage more retention amongst the LG, so they can spend more time promoting the division and encouraging others to join.
As a GG I understand this, but the updates to GG and RMP have been required as both do have a role in combat scenarios
For example Space recon is a recurring issue where they will have medkits, snipers, and a large amount of resources to better aid their raid. Until now GG have had to run from WB, and then get to BP only to be sniped and have to repeat the journey wasting time. We have relied on support guards on occasions but now with the updates we can handle these situations quickly and effectively. Life guards while important, simply don’t have the same duties. A horse spawner upgrade I can understand but as for the rest, it seems a little too much which when misused can result in chaos. Again I’m a little bias due to my division but the point does still kind of remain. LG are looked upon more favourably in terms of just respectfulness that it seems pointless to add some new tools. Even IRL life guards don’t play instruments a lot. If at all. I would instead recommend a new division devoted to musical services thus when Ceremonial events take place, we do have that sense of realism
Nathan I understand your point but at the same time Lg hasn’t received one update since they’ve opened and most of the things we have asked for are essential things that they either have IRL or that make it more fluid for us to operate. We can’t even back the horses up or hold our sabers on horseback and in one of ceremonies we need to move the horses off saddle and we can’t even do that.
As an ex-LT of GG and current Captain of RMP, I can have input here. I understand that the Grenadier Guard have had Medkits and the Landrover. The Royal military police have had Medkits in this latest expansion to the game. However, these were needed due to our duties and our roles. The game has changed a lot due to Space Recon and other unofficial groups targeting Buckingham Palace. There are duties that RMP should do but can’t due to us not having the equipment, hence why GG and RMP are trying to work with MPS divisions as they have the equipment.
I would also like to add that the equipment we requested was requested five months ago (July, to be exact). We just received it today, whereas MPS divisions requested things they received within weeks of the request.
The Grenadier Guards were made to become more combat-focused due to the Life Guards wanting to become a more ceremonial division, which is why LG now do all the honour guard duties. I would also like to add LG has asked for aesthetic changes and not specifically anything that can affect their duties as a whole. Once Again, the changes that GG and RMP have asked for are so we can do our duties and our roles.
There is still other equipment that RMP and GG still need so we can do our DUTIES. However, when Trojans have more equipment than the RG divisions put together, come on, this is a joke at times. They can be seen as being favoured more. All of the teasers (in the BP discord) that have been posted have always been given to Trojans to try out first.
I acknowledge that Life Guards need something to keep their morale up. They have requested things to be added for them but haven’t. I do think that the LG should have Instruments as part of their ceremonial duties as they are the main division in RG for this. I do hope that the Life Guard do get what they have asked for, as I can see how it is unfair.
I know some LG may disagree with me, or people will have opinions about this. But the requests we are asking are not big ones as the equipment is already in the game.
Some items like instruments would be more than welcome in any case as I’ve helped work on Ceremonial documents for TOTC and COTG which both to an extent have instruments. Making them LG exclusive is a little bit of a push. I understand LG want some more items but I would suggest instead the bugs with horses and some updates to the horses would be a good first step. Because once the horses are perfected then focus can shift rather than working on many items at once (which I can say doesn’t work.)
Id like to see fairer updates to all teams but then when it comes to life guards there’s not much which can be added before it becomes too unrealistic which in the context of the game is something that they are trying to avoid
