Having instruments LG exclusive isn’t a push. I’ve had this conversation with Major AnB in which I got hit with “what about GG?” If you want instruments at your events too, you can quite literally ask LG to join you. At least that way they have something.
The same way the rappel system is currently exclusive to you and Trojan.
Couldn’t agree more Josh LG has been under appreciated and should get some new stuff to balance them with other divisions. Great suggestion!

Rappels are for the situations we deal with. Instruments are just…(Don’t hate me) Instruments. There’s nothing special. LG should get updates but maybe something other than instruments considering I’d love to see a coldstream guard band
So true! I think we are being neglected since we don’t server a major purpose, like combat (GG) or policing (RMP). Even one of these changes can improve the game a lot, and I hope to see them for the Blue & Royals too
If instruments are just ‘instruments’, why are you making such a deal over trying to get them for another group of individuals? If you want instruments at an event, you call upon LG to attend. Seems only fair, knowing they are the most ceremonial out of all our current company’s.

Not sure, but the point of the post was to bring light on the lack of updates for LG. So before grey uniforms are released (if it was ever gonna be), LG should get their deserved update first.
There are actually instruments already in-game you just can’t access them. I’ve seen 4avke in-game giving instruments to RG for a parade. There is a real life LG band, look it up. All they need to do is give LG access to the instruments in-game.
Why are you so obsessed about LG getting instruments? is the grappling system not good enough? Is the cars not good enough? What else do you want?
The life guards are the only ceremonial focused division in the royal guards, it would make sense that that we get instruments.

Considering that GG and Coldstreams are the only divisions that have partaken in multiple Ceremonial events which I’ve helped organise the documents for, they don’t seem particularly ceremonial at the minute. I’ve started forming an idea to see if a QGS can take place in the new year and if LG join then fine I’ll agree with you. I just don’t see LG doing much Ceremonial practice especially with TOTC
I have to agree with wheels here,
I believe the main reason there’s a debate here is because there haven’t been much coordination between the developers and the royal guard team as a whole, most of the teasers and updates mostly are targeting towards MPS. But mostly the reason I find this happening is because most of the developers in game tend to play as MPS more, leading them to getting more ideas on what to add to MPS.
There should be monthly arrangements within HQ and Developers, discussing what should they do or if they can add something.
But this is just my opinion, I’m not a talking sorta guy so I can make mistakes sometimes when judging.
Another point, all I know about divisions in RG is simple, LG is now more ceremonial, GG is more focused on combat situations, RMP is policing the guard, and TC & COs are focused on trainings and events. Why can’t we just stick to their purpose? I think it’s fine for LGs to get what they need for ceremonial stuff, such as instruments and stuff. The game is not 1:1 with the real life one, so a little notch is okay.
There shouldn’t be an argument in the first place honestly, it’s just a misunderstanding on each side. Divisions should be organised and have their own special purpose so they don’t clash with other divisions.
Overall, I agree with the suggestion however there is one thing I have seen others say that I agree with. I personally believe that the Grenadiers should be able to get some instruments as we have many iconic events where they are used. These include Trooping Of The Colour, Changing Of The Guard, and possibly Beating Retreat. I wouldn’t even mind the Life Guards having priority, I just think at some point we should also get the option. Additionally, people said we should get Life Guards on for these events however this might not always be an option.
Agreed, largely due to GG having made the majority of the progress when it comes to organising Ceremonial events such as mine and your work on the COTG and TOTC document respectively. That’s my largest argument when it comes to GG getting instruments as we’re not doing combat deployments 24/7, so a change of pace would help massively
Nathan, thank you for your views and I am glad that it does mean there will be more updates for GG and RMP because of their fighter position. Nevertheless, ignoring the Life Guards on the grounds that their major engagement is not a fight is also an unequal level of concern and training. They play important roles in ceremonial proceedings just as important to the preservation of the in-game and IRL image of the monarchy.
Concerning instruments, it is important to say that being Life Guards, the participants do not use instruments extensively, but the embodiment of this feature will add color to the ceremony and create an even greater sense among viewers. For example, Trooping the Colour is one function where music support has a major part to play. Formation of a new label or musical division appears completely unneeded, when LG can cover this function for game purposes.
Regarding the horse updates, upgrade in spawners and control weren’t going to overthrow balance – it would actually give LG a better tool set they need to perform their roles. Such changes would not affect the simulation of the combat modes and progress and would rather guarantee equal attention to the Life Guards similarly to the other divisions.
Finally, players of LG are disappointed by not getting updates they deserve as every division has important responsibilities to contribute to the bigger picture. Minor changes wouldn’t detract from GG or RMP combat needs but would signal that LG is as important as LG.
Granted, LG should receive an update. But I would also like to see LG partake in ceremonial events which as far as I’m aware will be practiced and perfected in QGS that me and some fellow GG are working to organise so that all divisions eventually understand and can perform Ceremonial events to perfection for both propaganda and it also shows how serious that these events are taken
I agree with you on this that each division should have its strategic function to perform minimising overlap and/or conflict. And that’s why the discussion is not about LG moving into GG shoes or RMP shoes, but about LG being ready and included for its ceremonial responsibilities.
Things like better horse mechanics or spawners wouldn’t interfere with other divisions; instead, they would add to LG’s mission to provide ceremonial units. Quite in the same way, instruments would relate to LG’s purpose while not interfering with combat-oriented divisions. This is not to compete or for us to dictate but to ensure that every division shall be equipped with what they need to be the best in their specialized field.
