The Life Guards have been in the game for a long time, and since they were added they’ve only received a couple new additions. We’d like some more.
Starting with the big one, we need revamped horses. To put it lightly, the horses are terrible. The feedback on controls are horrible, and often lead to you crashing into things; the speed control is almost non-existent if you have even the slightest amount of lag, and that’s only if you haven’t lost all control of the horse. For example: one time I was riding to Buckingham Palace on horseback, and then I just suddenly lost all control; I couldn’t turn, I couldn’t stop or speed up, nothing. And because of how horses work that also meant I couldn’t dismount.
Secondly, another big problem which I think most people who play on the Household Cavalry can agree with, cuirasses. I don’t intend to insult the work of the developers but the look awful, and they can’t be taken off. In the case of cuirasses all we want are better looking cuirasses that are actually form-fitting to the roblox character, as well as the ability to take them on and off. The old uniform is too good to just throw away.
Onto some tertiary suggestions which aren’t necessary at all but would be nice to have:
Support Guards for Household Cavalry, or at least the Life Guards. To make it clear, we do not want combats, however in real life you can often find Life Guards in No. 8s taking care of horses, which is something that would be nice to have both for roleplay and practical purposes such as transit. Since some people are confused, I do NOT mean let anyone who joins the Life Guards automatically unlock SG. I mean let any support qualified guards in the Life Guards or Horse Guards be able to change into No. 8s while being on HG or LG, meaning that they’ll spawn at HGP rather than WB.
Farriers. Another tertiary suggestions, Farriers are a position in the Household Cavalry dedicated to the welfare and care of horses. When in ceremonial dress, they wear a very dark blue tunic along with black plumes on their helmet (image attached) with the biggest and most noticeable difference being the fact that they wield an axe, rather than a sabre. Having Farriers would serve as a nice new thing for the Household Cavalry, and if added could possibly work in the same way as a Guard Support Qualification, where you must pass a course before you can use it.
No. 2 Dress for Life Guards. Another simple addition, we’d like the option to wear No. 2 dress during events. With No. 2 dress, we’d also like the option to wear our helmets with our No. 2s, as is sometimes done in real life during parades.
Mess Dress (No. 10s) for Life Guards. Another uniform which would be nice to have for events and the like, No. 10s are used for formal events such as Balls and dinners.
