Updates for CCT

As we all know, CCT is a specialist Division within LAS. It has helicopters, access to restricted zones (gates etc) and is very efficient when it comes to Rapid response due to these special perks. However, we are not that much different to regular LAS and we certainly do need more than what we are currently being offered. Here is a list of ideas that CCT members have brought up to me in order to make a suggestion for:

  1. Call signs to show in radio

From others perspective, nothing is more annoying than seeing CCT flood radio with constant updates of what they are doing. By having the option to put signs on cars (like MET specialists) are we able to reduce the repeated RRU-# spam but also make it easier for other specialists to spot us on the map and the radio.

  1. More Vehicles
    Currently, we are only issued the following:
    Helicopters
    Volvo XC90 (CCT)
    XC90 , X5, Qual Car (None CCT marked)
    This simply isn’t enough.
    Cars like a marked x5, marked ford mustang mach e or just different types of volvos would be quite appreciated.

  2. Team Bypass
    This should be self explanatory, why do we not yet have a team bypass? Sometimes, us getting on team is near impossible since we yet do not have a bypass.

  3. IM Qual
    Now, this may seem controversial. I am down to hear any criticism or support for this. Now you may wonder, why is this necessary for CCT? Well, when responding to call, we tend to hold up a lane in order to block the patient and act as a roadblock to ensure that nobody gets hit whilst responding to it. However, by having cones we would be able to set up IM where there may be major casualties within an area or road (where loads of people are dead and in need of medical treatment) or just help block off a lane in a safe way to prevent people getting ran over whilst being treated (average spur road experience :skull: ) or to just ensure the scene is fully clear before actually returning to patrol. Of course, this qualification shouldn’t be for everybody and there should be regulations but CCT Command can decide that if this does get added. Also, if it does get added, remove the police tag on signs and make it LAS related. I have attached a picture in which you can get a rough idea of how it works

  4. Self Protection
    As a civilian, nothing screams Target Practice more than LAS, CCT and Response. In their eyes, we are like deer lost in the headlights. We are constantly attacked and us not having bulletproof cars makes this a war where we are expected to run away whilst in a map that is practically just no mans land. However, by having something that we can defend ourselves with (such as PAVA) would be amazing. We would be able to PAVA armed suspects who attack us and whilst they are blinded, it would give us enough time to get away quickly and request for armed support to help us by using the panic feature that was recently added.

  5. Rappels
    Now, before you guys start jumping to conclusions we don’t mean rappels such as off BP roof. We want rappels from the helicopters. Now, you may ask why is this necessary? Well, landing a helicopter and finding a safe spot to land it is time consuming and can result in a slow response when responding to calls. By having a rappel, a CCT member can drop from the helicopter safely and treat the patient whilst the helicopter finds an appropriate spot to land . By the time the victim is healed and up again, the heli would be ready for the CCT to board again and then fly off.

  6. Make uniforms more detailed. MET and RG have detailed uniforms but we dont its just a copy and paste of RAC

  7. Also if LAS COs could get on the forums option to show as their rank as they are the only COs that can’t have displayed rank when commenting while MPS and RG COs do if you check comments

I totally agree with this. Especially with the callsigns, even when I am on as CCT I hate having to clog up inter service with our communications, having this could make it look better and more organised.

Also, IM qual, yes you may say this is mo8 a job. But what would we do if they aren’t available? We can’t just risk our life especially if we are limited to what we can block of with the size of our vehicle, this is highly needed for our safety.

And lastly, yes the vehicles. We deserve more, yes IRL this is the only car but we need more. MET has tons of them, just adding 1-3 more would be great and could maybe have them as you go up the ranks to make some of the ranks have a ‘reward’.

Feel like the server hates me when I am spamming RRU-1 in the inter service :rofl: .

With IM, it will reduce the amount of injuries caused to both CCT and other people on scene who may require medical attention or just happen to be there. The cones would block any cars and help us sort out the incident whilst maintaining a clean flow of traffic.

With cars, they do have a bunch of skodas and all but they recently replaced it with xc90s. Still, there should be more cars like the Mustang Mach E.

I love this idea, it will truly help our team and make our jobs easier. I completely agree with every part of it, as this has been discussed multiple times within CCT Leadership, which I can confirm myself as the CCT Director. Hopefully, we can push this idea further and get it out there, so we can improve the CCT team as a whole.

I absolutely agree with these suggestions, especially implementing a qualification like Incident Management was something I had considered mentioning but it’s been mentioned now and I am grateful.

Another thing that could be added to this suggestion is to bring back our old sirens on our vehicles and possibly provide us with a new doctor vehicle with green ELS.

This would be something quite cool to see and could be a good USP to a division for individuals wanting to apply in the future. Currently, the majority of people who apply, apply just for the helicopters and giving personal new vehicles with special features would be something new personnel could look forward too.

On the topic of cars, for LAS. as a whole, to give LAS managers access to unmarked cars in the future. This would make the LAS side of the game more realistic, obviously this would have to go though gold first before such gets implemented.
