Steps to Reproduce: go to NSY, book in suspect, bail may appear to be 0 for a brief moment.

I think this has been reported before as just a visual bug, it still deducts from your balance
That is correct, this bug is only visual and the amount is still deducted from the balance. This happens as the game is still calculated bail on a variety of different factors.
