Remove the auto sanction system; Almost all officers are caught trespassing and are sanctioned anyways, this will do more damage than help. Providing no evidence, apart from being tagged. Additionally, re-add SIG for COs, We appreciate we are not specialized firearms however this was a nice perk to have, in the role of a CO.
The problem with Auto Sanctions is they don’t take into account situations, additionally if you’re in a private server will the auto sanction just work anyway? There’s so many flaws with this system, it needs to be removed. Additionally, why did CO’s even lose the SIG? It’s a decent gun, and why not give the CO’s something nice to use instead of the god awful G36?
Edit: Why does it say Deputy Commander by my name? I’m not even a CO anymore
Well said. I think this feature would be highly accepted more for Royal Guards rather than MET to sanction non-qualified guards who go outside of Buckingham Palace expect for HG.
I agree with that point although I don’t know how the system works but possible RG sanction system should not sanction SGs RMPs or Grenadiers
Surely perks for COs shouldn’t be that much. People shouldnt become a CO for the perks.
You missed the whole point, we don’t become COs for the perks, they’re just nice to have for the work we put into respective areas as COs.
Everyone puts work in. This is just to reward the work TJ put in. I’m sure there are other perks for COs though.
The auto-sanction system has a lot of potential, but it definitely needs some tweaks to work better. Right now, too many MET officers are entering restricted areas without permission or while still on Response Police class, especially when no Chief Officers are around to handle it. Adding an in-game authorization system that allows Chief Officers to grant entry to specific areas could solve a lot of these problems. That said, I don’t think Chief Officers should have free access to the Sig MCX or HK. AFOs go through a lot of training to earn the right to use those weapons, and just giving them to COs without the same requirements undermines that effort. Keeping these firearms exclusive to AFOs is fairer and respects the skills and training they’ve worked hard for.
Well said Rob
Going to rephrase it.
The auto-sanction system does not have a lot of potential. The auto sanction system is going to be more annoying than anything else. Dealing with it like everything else has not been a problem. Its a very easy ticket for us to deal with, check that they are trespassing and checking that they don’t have a valid reason to be there.
The auto sanction system wont know the context, it wont why they are there like if a CO has them coming with them or something else. Adding a CO auth system also solves a problem that doesnt need fixing, just dont have the auto sanction system there to begin with. Saying that CO’s shouldn’t have access to the special weapons like the sig or HK because trojans need special training is not a good reason to gatekeep it. Trojans might have a lot of training to “earn” the right to use them, but its not like there is anything special about them other than them being slightly better than the default rifle.
CO’s dont become CO’s for the small perks, but the perks are a way to reward us for our hard work. I am lucky enough to be in Taskforce so I have some benefits internally, but the CO’s who are in Education and Dicipline got pretty much nothing. Giving them some special weapons gives them something cool. Keeping the weapons exclusive to AFO might be fair and respectful, but it doesn’t mean that CO’s shouldn’t be allowed to get them as well.
Giving CO’s 2 weapons isn’t disrespectful to the Trojans who have put in a lot of work to get trained. Trojans aren’t special because of their weapons, they are special because of their training.
What about the life guards?
