Life Guard Update Part Something As There Is Plenty

Hello there, last I posted about a Life Guard Update I was just a Captain of this Regiment but now that I am the Regimental Commander I think now is a great time to list everything that comes to mind for a Life Guard Update and here they are as listed.

1: More Realistic Uniforms for LG:
We currently have a very underdevloped uniform as it is missing a lot of details that could really make us stand out even better, for example the pants we wear should be fully white and not black as the LG are known to be in full bright colours to stand out, another thing would be making it so we have our curiasses, these if your not sure are the chestplates you see LG and HG wearing in videos online and such, the last suggestion that comes to mind is the No.1’s for LG CO’s, this is a uniform worn by LG CO’s IRL when they are doing a ceremony such as the 4 o’clock parade and would look really nice to use.

2: More Interior At HGP:
This is pretty self explanatory, currently at HGP there is just empty space except for the stables which is only used to spawn a horse and that’s about it, if you do a quick search online and such there is supposed to be a type of museum at HGP where people can enter and such, another thing I would like to see added is a place for the LG to work sepeartely such as a classroom or such so we can do our trainings in a more formal setting then rather in the open and we can go afk more peacefully.

3: Better and More Controls On The Horse:
Right now it is a utter pain to control a horse and I know alot of LG and even HG can relate to this one, the horses are very buggy and frankly not suitable for military people, the horses should be able to back up as doing a 360 to reposition yourself is very unrealisitic and frankly as they are trained to stand for hours at a time they should be able to back up at the best, also another thing is that when we dismount we should be able to get the option to be able to grab the reins and lead them by it, this is frankly something that should of been added when the LG were created as the 4 o’clock parade requires us to dismount and lead the horses by the reins back to the stables.

4: Horse Transport Vans:
This one might not make sense at first but frankly the amount of times LG have been ran over or targeted is insane, we carnt even go down the Mall Road in peace without being shot at or rammed and then killed, we should get vans that can transport horses safely while we can also be transported safely to BP and such and this means less LG getting killed and safeing a long journey back to BP if you get killed on the road and have to respawn at HGP, alot of LG can speak on this one so please consider adding this.

5: Here comes the one where everyone goes no, Combats:
Now people always say that “Oh your the ceremonial divison and shouldn’t be doing combative duties blah blah blah” which I find an utter stupid reason and argument for us to not get a chance of combats, LG see just as much or more combat then most divisons in this game and what can we do, nothing as we are expected to just stand around and do nothing while everyone is getting killed, and I know some people will reply saying “Oh but GG or RMP have combats so we don’t need more combative people” this point is just invalid as all of the regiments have a combative side to them IRL and even if we got combats we wouldn’t just only focus on combat, we pride ourselves on ceremonies but if you judge this idea then I invite you to come join us and stand around for 3hrs while everyone else is having fun doing combat and such, then come make a valid point to me why we shouldn’t get combats.

6: Instruments:
And lastly instruments, this would be something amazing to add to the LG as they are seen as the ceremonial divison and would work perfectly into parades we can do such as the Trooping Of The Colour and so onforward and it wouldn’t even need to be that detailed, you could just make it play a set song or we can just learn the instruments manually which would be a challenge but really fun for all the LG and we would all greatly appreciate it

I hope some of these ideas can be put into consideration as me and my LG are frankly getting very bored recently with what we do day to day so a decent update for us would lift spirits and make it so LG are put into the spotlight a bit more then being a forgotten regiment inside the game.

The 2 things I strongly believe we should have are 1 and 5. It would be so amazing for us to have a break from posting non-stop with the incorrect tunic for once in a while… and have a chance to deploy as Life Guards combative with no OOS. Regardless, very well said Luci and I hope we get all of these things as the Grenadiers + RMP have gotten all the revamps they wanted and more, and I think it’s our turn now.

we have said in the past that combats are not coming to the life guards, yes the life guards are not just ceremonial but the fact is that we cannot give you combats due to the fact the life guards only deploy in combats when they are deploying at war.

you also only deploy in combats at war time for the purpose of these three listed below:

mechanised infantry.
artillery.
reconnaissance.
these purposes listed above cannot be filled in-game, meaning it wouldn’t make fully sense to give you combats. if the life guards weren’t a regiment mainly directed towards artillery mechanised infantry and reconnaissance and would serve at war as basic infantry yeah we could of given you combats, but we have already said no to combats in the past.
for better context:

the life guards cannot perform their combat duties assigned to them at war in-game when they are deployed in combats, so it wouldn’t make sense. they only deploy in combats when at war.

mechanised infantry cannot be performed as there are no vehicles such as ifvs.
artillery duties can’t be performed (well we’re in a city so why we would we) but something I will say is that you should have one of the ceremonial artillery cannons that are used in ceremonial events. I know this one wouldn’t make sense but one of the main regiments that do this aren’t in-game.

we can’t perform military reconnaissance as we aren’t fighting in a war against another country in the game, meaning it wouldn’t make full sense as there is nowhere to deploy.

suggestions you have given to us beforehand have been considered and we’re not sure when they come out as we aren’t developers, but I suppose such are still in development.

although the other things you have suggested, these could happen but it’s always up to the developers.

Yeah, if you want to go that in-dept that’s fine. But if you want to play the realism game, Murdering someone gets you 10 minutes in prison. You call ‘unrealistic’ a bunch of stuff, I don’t think it’s THAT much of a valid reason to not give us combats.

I have told you that we are not giving you combats, the fact is that it’s also stated the division is purely ceremonial and will not fully focus on combat duties within the application. Therefore such decision is final, the other suggestions will be considered.

however regarding the no combats I do have a solution that I will talk about.

I appreciate you responding here and I get your points about yeah LG are only deployed in war time and such, but this is also vastly similar with the Grenadier Guards to an extent as they get deployed all over the world and when they aren’t they are at BP doing their sentry duty or training, but I hope this solution you have is satisfactory as a huge portion of the LG are expecting something eventually from the devs

I’m not trying to be rude but you can’t really decide as your not a developer, yes you can set rules but you can’t make the game, also as luci said you need to do something, we can’t even walk around freely like RMP or GG in combats or CO’s, all we do is stand and ride to and from HGP, if a civ is running in, we can’t do anything, like all were meant to do is think of stuff in our head and go crazy, like let us do something, and don’t say we have honour guarding as that’s a pain, all we do is go with a VIP and just see them do fun stuff, yes we do do some combative stuff there but that’s barely anything as a VIP barely is honour guarded, now you guys have stopped lucifer from having fun in a private server which only LG are on and he left as he got bored, A LT COLONEL BORED, he has much more to do than us and he is bored, now imagine us. We can’t even go on ourselves and have a joy ride to and from BP. Now do you see why we want combats?

Also the ceremonial bit, did you not understand?
When we want combats you all argue we have ceremonial duties only but then when you guys do all the ceremonial things in QGS’s then we’re just posting, how is that fun huh? What’s your argument then?
