I’m here today to ask for a medic subclass for the Grenadier Guards. Currently in game, MO19 have the medic subclass that they can obtain and equip. This is because they are constantly involved in combat with civilians and may be damaged easily. GG are also constantly in combat during their deployments and a medical subclass would allow us to carry out duties a lot more easier and is an awesome addition to the division. It would also be easy to implement as all it would require is the current stuff MO19 Medics get but on the GG team.
What would their avatar be like?
GG Medics would be a subclass labelled “Combat Medic”. It would work like combats where you just equip it and it changes the subclass. There would be observable markings on the uniform as well as medical kits worn around. Green stripes and first aid kits would be observable. Other differences would be observable. Examples: https://imgur.com/a/AiaIgAe. It would be up to the developer’s decisions on the avatars.
What would be in their inventory?
Combat medics would have access to this kit on spawn:
G17
Zipties
Rappel
Medkit
x2 Bandages
x2 Splints
x2 Tourniquets
x2 Haemostats
Removing the L85A2 and Tazer would ensure that the medic subclass would only have medical supplies, and a sidearm for self defence. This would prevent situations where it would be rather unfair to have a medic come up, taze you. It would also make targetting less common as they are only supposed to be defending themselves instead of offensive duties.
How would you obtain it?
That would be up to Grenadier Guard Command. However, personally, I believe having a qualification for it would be the best way as it would ensure people use it properly and that the guardsmen are trained in the field.
Other features:
-Surrender button (like the one on civ by pressing U)
-The Landmaster Explorer but a decal on both sides with the red cross on a white background (symbolising medic)
As a Lance Sergeant and NCO for GG, I know how serious and how big of a game-changer this would be. This suggestion has provided an easy-to-implement new subclass to GG and allow more efficient combat deployments against civilians who already have access to the basic medical supplies. All while making sure that medics are following international law by making them an defensive group instead of an offensive group. It would be quite unfair and upsetting to have a medic come up and heal you just to get arrested by them thinking that they were here to help.
I hope you take my suggestion into consideration! Thank you for your time.
