Consider official warnings for those who go against specialist command

As a Specialist myself, it is frustrating to be in a hostage situation with ARVs and snipers. Hostage situations require full attention, you do not have time to move over to the ARV and ask them to move away, and you do not have the ability to use the radio as it makes the hostage think you are coordinating breach plans/tactics. Similarly, I imagine it’s very frustrating for MO8 when they have ARVs pursuing dangerous drivers who won’t stand down, or for MO7 when PaDP are trying to deal with protests and won’t make way for MO7.

I understand the community is young and is eager to be involved in these types of situation. However, I believe LiveShield should issue those who fail to comply with specialist orders in a manner which doesn’t seem as a warning but more advice. The warning shouldn’t be a threat, but more providing information (e.g: Please allow space for MO19 to deal with hostage situations, and comply with their instructions to assure the safe rescue of the hostage. Remember, you are always able to apply for the division if this is your interest through the MPS communications server). This would not be seen as being “told off” to the player, but simply being informed on how to deal with these events.

I fully agree with this, sure they might not be trained and they dont understand everything but if you tell them like 5-6 times to not engage then they shouldn’t, it is basic knowledge.

The amount of times I’ve seen AP or PaDP breach while MO19 told them not to is insane, we need this.

I could see this being worked on and added to a reasonable extent as it does breach the roleplay aspect of a hostage situation or during a protest etc, I’m sure a lot of MPS CO’s would like this to be worked on to an extent so their things that sometimes are planned ahead of time, can stop being interupted

just bring back sanctions for going against handbooks

So basically that will get almost everyone banned from BP and the Owners and devs will make less money from the game.

No one said that? “Consider official warnings”, not bans.

You don’t KNOW how many times this has happened to me :wilted_flower:

If you read what P3WC1 said then you will understand, he said that we could just bring the old system back and I answered on what he said. It will most likely not happen as it will make a lot of people suspended and a lot of people will stop playing the game and that will resultat in the devs and owners losing their money,

Myself, I’m not even in a specialist division but I can see and have witnessed these issues. Voted

I’d have to disagree with this idea.

Warnings should not be given out simply because players get in the way of specialists. That would be unfair, as no actual rule is being broken. While I do understand that it’s annoying for divisions to encounter players that come in their way, these things normally fall under CO’s duties to deal with, not Moderation.

Keep in mind we’re also a large community, many players are eager to be involved in situations, and not everyone has the same level of experience as you specialists do. It’s important we all remember that not every situation will play out perfectly as planned as well.

Our role as moderation isn’t to punish players for wanting to take part, anyone would be frustrated to see a warning for getting involved in an unofficial event. Unless a player is deliberately disrupting the gameplay, or rules in a way that clearly violates our rules, this doesn’t justify a game warning.

This is a very unnecessary addition, and many players would disagree with such idea being added.

I agree with this as long as the player has had enough time to move away and not interfere.

Yes but if we report it to a CO, by the time they join, get to the location, etc, they’ve already ran in, blew up the situation and gone. It’s then far too late for the CO to do anything.

Basically we understand that some people are low experienced but they could update the handbook and there are also trollers who are doing this intentionally to ruin for specialists.

Yes they do want to take part but they need to realise it’s better to leave it to specialist divisions for example I’m in MO7 and multiple ARV cars were getting in the way of are vans which is annoying because then we cannot do are duties properly.
