Make it bannable or even sanctionable to leave before LTAA detection intentionally.
This would include situations like you crash and then leave to avoid being arrested, etc. It would only include situations where it is clear they are trying to bypass the LTAA detection by leaving before it kicks in. This would not include stuff like leaving after you have lost the police, or ofc leaving and getting detected for LTAA.
What exactly is being punished?
Leaving right before being tased/cuffed to avoid triggering the LTAA system. This would also include scenarios where you leave before being able to be tased/cuffed when you know you are going to get arrested. For example, getting stinged and rejoining the game/leaving. This would also include getting your car broken by the police or rammed into a wall, etc, to end a pursuit and leaving/rejoining to not get arrested.
Why is this change needed?
I know civilian mains are going to ask why. The only reason this exists is that a lot of people’s LTAA as soon as we get them, or right before they are going to be cuffed and then rejoin to do it again. It is not even worth it to try to catch the people that are known to do it, as the benefit from doing it is next to none. I am pretty sure nearly most of the MPS specialists and COs can agree with me.
What do civilians and MPS get from this?
When this becomes sanctionable, it will make it worth it again to pursue people, as we know they can’t no longer just be LTAA right before being cuffed.
What if I need to leave?
I don’t think there is a situation you can’t wait a couple of minutes to be cuffed and then LTAA. As this will only affect leaving to avoid LTAA detection.
What about crashes, internet issues, or power outages?
It is going to be 1:10000000000 chance that your internet cuts or you have a power outage right as you are being arrested. This rule will not apply, for example, when you are being pursued and you leave if it is not clear you are trying to find a loophole for this rule.
What’s the grace period/timing window?
There is not going to be a set time, but it will be handled on a case-by-case basis. In short, as long as the intent to leave to avoid arrest and the LTAA detection system is clear.
What are the penalties?
This will be up to Live Shield to decide, but I am hoping from a warning up to a permanent ban.
I don’t see this being beneficial for normal LTAAing, as you get a money income when people leave. I can understand for example LTAAing out of pursuits, and I think a permanent ban is too harsh just for avoiding arrests. I have seen MPS do worser things than LTAAing, and even see specialists come off their divisions and go onto civilians to kill officers/civilians who killed/arrested them. It does not make a balance.
Thats the idea it will not effect “normal LTAA” Only if you intensionally are avoiding getting detected for LTAA aka you leave before the constable get’s any money from the arrest and you don’t get auto jailed. Let’s say. You are pursueing me. I crash and break my car. I leave as soon as i crash or right as you approuch me to cuff me. Thats what this rule is ment to make sanctionable. The moument you get cuffed the rule doesn’t apply as long as the automatic LTAA detection triggers or if you manage to escape. I made it vague for a reason.
I agree, this used to be a rule but I believe out of leniency, they shifted away from this. There has to be consequences against all forms of LTAA, especially if they leave before the game could detect (e.g. being tased or while in-cuffs).
From what I have seen from other similar games, normally a 1-day ban would be imposed for LTAA. Should they repeat, it increases. Nobody wants to play with players that repeatedly log to avoid arrest.
Yeah, I do agree. I said warning up to a permanent ban. So people who do without knowing can have a change, but people who do it constantly with intent shouldn’t even be allowed to play this game.
While this might not be overly beneficial for others, this would be extremely vital for dealing with AWOL guards.
The game doesn’t even detect when guards leave in cuffs, so having a system in place to deter them from LTAAing every single time would save a lot of hassle.
Everybody has done it at least one in their time on being on the game. I do not think the extreme option in my view is the right thing to. Keep it the way it is, and leave people to either pay the fine, or sit in jail for longer than usual. I do not think this suggestion is a good idea for those reasons and I’m not saying that LTAA’ing is a good thing, but imagine if it became bannable or sanctionable? The game would lose many players. I don’t think scaring players with the idea of being banned or sanctioned is a good idea due to possible loss in player count and/or interest in the game if too many SERIOUS rules are in place
With all due respect, this suggestion will make civilians no longer play and MPS or RG will no longer have a duty and then that could lead to the game no longer being played by anyone.
The main point of this, is to deter such behaviours. If those majority are mostly leaving to avoid arrest (before they could even be cuffed and what not), then how is this fair to those that are actually respecting and going through the process?
And if you were to say it will lead to the game no longer being played by anyone, then you are saying every other ro-nation type of games, will no longer be played as well. They have the same rule that BP used to have (and there were no issues on the amount of players, playing the game). So, I will say this will hardly be an issue.
And you say this could make civilians no longer want to play, well this issue is already happening for those who wants to play on Met. Nobody on Met wants to play with civilians who repeatedly leave the game before they could be tased or cuffed, and for them to return again and start all over again.
So you are saying basic common sense will kill the game? You are saying Civilian gameplay relies on the fact tthat hey can leave before being cuffed to avoid jail?
This will not sanction LTAA itself as i sayed. This would sanction leaving before LTAA system triggers. If you leave on cuffs and you trigger the LTAA system this rule change wouldn’t effect you. This only affects leaving or other ways of attempting to bypass the LTAA detection. So in short, if are being arrested and LTAA but you get jailed(detected for LTAA) this rule wouldn’t effect you. I even covered this in the suggestion multiple times.
The thing it is not rare peoples do that i see this happen nealry every single day atleast ones. This is not going to scare away new players. The peoples i majorly see doing this are veteran players doing it with intent and knowledge of it. In some casses it is new players too.
