Sanction system

Right, you gotta understand. Ever since Liveshield took over on sanctions people have been breaking rules much much more. This just annoys loads of people, especially CO’s and RMP. The amount of rule breakers we deal with each day. I remember when we had like 2 abusers every now and then. That was when CO’s sanctioned because we were strict. I understand CO’s were “to strict” but that’s good. RG even had a system for sanctioning.

Now, people always go against the handbooks now. People breaking standing orders, CP responding to calls etc. They know that Liveshield wont do anything, I would honestly say (no offence) but when it comes to team sanctions Liveshield is useless. They don’t do anything.

Overall, the system is messed up. Liveshield is useless, everyone does what they want now like. No wonder people are slowly stopping to play this game, it’s Ulferno’s and Jake’s fault all this is happening. They made that choice, they ruined the game. I am considering leaving this game myself, all because of this sanction system. I don’t care about the lag, the other annoying things in the game. I care about this sanction system, it’s ruining the game. Think about me, an RG CO. Think about RMP, MPS CO’s and other RG CO’s. We have to sort all these rule breakers ourselves because Liveshield wont do anything.

Us CO’s, RMP as well. We didn’t sign up to deal with abusers who wont get a sanction, all we can give is some time to reflect in our cars or RMP wellington. Nothing else, but those do nothing. I think most CO’s and RMP would fully agree with me and stand by me to change this sanction system, it is annoying.

Either Liveshield starts sanctioning for breaking handbooks or they give CO’s the power again to sanction and we do it the proper way.

CP Responding to calls isnt that big of a issue personally be glad they arent abusing.

CP responding to calls is against the handbook. Making the game unrealistic and they aim for realism. People like you ruin the realism.

The game isnt fully realistic anyway.

And, I understand devs and owners wont care but it’s worth a shot.

I dont wanna be rude but people can think what they want everyone has a opinion about everyone.

Im not bothered by it tbh.

I get your point about the sanction system and most CO’s that are Moderators aren’t the biggest fan to, but I doubt it will be reverted for a while or ever, which is rather annoying but its just how the Leads decided

I 100% agree with this. Im thinking about leaving the game for atleast 3 months to see how it goes in the future. But right now, things aren’t the same. People ahve been asking about it for months and nothing has changed.

Thanks for this Pure I have been saying this to people and finally I have another person that feels the same pain.

I agree, so far it looks like the Development team have no plan to revert these changes

Exactly, some of the times I can’t even make it to Buckingham Palace as a civilian without getting shot for no reason. From the abuser themself, they literally said they’ve been reported plenty of times and nothing has happened, and everyone knows that nothing will ever happen. They know that LiveShield won’t do anything because of the new sanctioning system, and it’s irritating. And I understand it’s not LiveShield’s fault, but the old sanctioning system was much better, even if that means being strict.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again;
Stop blaming LiveShield for it, and instead look at management who decided to change the policy.

You’re right – we don’t sanction for handbooks anymore as these are roleplay rules. As long as it doesn’t (majorly) impact gameplay for other users, it’s probably not getting sanctioned.

A royal guard recruit is wandering around in the garden by themselves? → Not disrupting anyone else’s gameplay and thus not getting sanctioned.

An unqualified constable shot his taser at an innocent civilian? → Not disrupting anyone else’s gameplay as the game automatically prevents non-qualified constables from tasing innocent players, and thus they will not be sanctioned.

A police constable is ramming into other players with their vehicle? → They’re disrupting others’ gameplay and thus they will get sanctioned.

Now, whether or not this is a good change is a whole other story, and one that as @LuciferdaAlpha666 mentioned, is not beloved by all LS moderators either.
I just hope this will make you, and others for that matter, realise that it’s not just “Oh LiveShield won’t do anything about it!!”, but rather, LS can’t do anything about it.

I made a suggestion in a change of leadership maybe you should to.

We know the development team introduced this system, and LiveShield are just defending this system and not taking into account how unfair it is for COs. Not to forgot that unqualified LAS, MET, and RG can be LS moderators.

Your last point doesn’t actually matter since LAS, RG and MET qualification all revolve around handbook rules - and LiveShield does not sanction for these handbook rules, which means it doesn’t matter whether or not you’re qualified. You don’t need to know about safeguarding to know that a constable can’t run over a civilian at Mach 5.

There’s a specific set of rules that LiveShield does sanction for, mostly disruption to gameplay. The moderators are trained and overseen to ensure that sanctions are carried out correctly.

Please refer to DesiredLion’s post. The moderator did everything he could as the sanctioning guidelines have significantly changed. Sorry, but he literally couldn’t do more, and trying to publically shame him just because you’re annoyed that someone isn’t getting punished over mildly inconveniencing your roleplay (shooting a gun in the air) is just petty.

I think like I said before when this was first introduced most CO’s were not happy with the change which I can understand due to the sanctioning system was pretty effective and had a big team managing it, but after it was changed yes people get away with more then before I get that and I don’t personally like it either and most or if not all Moderators did not like the change to an extent due to it was more work for us and most of us were RG/MPS CO’s so we were used to sanctioning the old way and personally we should not be getting the hate we are getting as LS mods due to we are just following what we were told from Management who decided this change would be a positive so I hope the replys from now 3 Moderators can enlighten people into that we are not the ones to direct your hate to.

Thank you.

I did not mean to hate on the moderators at all
I created that image when I didn’t know about the policy change hence why some of the language in it sounds as if I am blaming the mod.
I now understand that the inability to sanction for certain things is not the fault of the moderators, more of the higher-ups and I find that the image just shows how ineffective the new moderation system is for certain issues.
